Over the years Bridgend Male Choir has had the privilege of sharing the concert platform with both local and international choirs, musicians, singers and presenters including a few world famous artists.

(2009) Owen Money MBE

(born 16 May 1947), is a Welsh musician, actor, comedian, and radio presenter. He was born in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. In the 2007 New Year Honours, Money was made an MBE for services to entertainment in Wales.

(2009) Paul Child

is a Welsh singer who lives in Bridgend, Wales. Paul sang in a number of rock bands as a teenager and moved on to work on the circuit in Tenerife. In 1996 Child returned to Wales and continued his career. Best known for his involvement with Welsh rugby, and has sung the Welsh National Anthem at many of the Wales international rugby matches in Cardiff.

is a Welsh television presenter and meteorologist from Maesteg, Glamorgan. She is the United Kingdom's longest-serving female weather forecaster, having appeared on ITV Weather for 24 years, from 1990 until 2014

(2010) Sir Willard White

One of the best-loved and most versatile opera stars of the last 40 years, His illustrious career has taken him to the most prestigious opera houses and concert halls throughout the world, collaborating with conductors, directors and orchestras of the highest calibre. He shines as one of the most versatile of opera singers and has brought his rich bass-baritone voice and dramatic presence to roles ranging from Wagner’s Wotan in The Ring Cycle to Gershwin’s Porgy in Porgy and Bess.

(2014) Cantorion Pontyclun Ladies Choir

was first established as a mixed choir in 1977 and had an excellent record of achievement over a long period of time, raising thousands of pounds for numerous charities at home and abroad. The choir has also won prizes at numerous Eisteddfodau and performed in concerts at the Royal Albert Hall and Wales’ own St David’s Hall and Wales Millennium Centre. In September 2002, the choir became an all – female choir in part due to the falling number of male members.

Vittorio Grigolo

was born in 1977 in Arezzo, Italy, and is the quintessential Italian tenor. He began his vocal career as a soloist in the Sistine Chapel Choir and is considered one of the finest tenors of his generation. He has performed principal tenor roles in the world’s most prestigious opera houses and his exceptional vocal and dramatic talents have been widely praised since his 2010 debut at London’s Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, as the Chevalier des Grieux.

(2010) Dutch Millennium Male Choir

was formed in 1997 from the inspiration of professional singer/conductor, Jaap Jan Hunze. In recent years the 50 strong Choir has sung throughout the USA and Canada, as well as mainland Europe. Its most recent competition success was an award collected in Prague at an International Competition involving 80 choirs from around the World. Choir leader Jaap Hunze has been involved with Dutch choirs over many years helping to found a number and having had the honour of leading one group of over 300 choristers in a performance for the Dutch Royal Family.

(2008) Ynysybwl Ladies Choir

competed regularly at local eisteddfodau and were successful in winning the Open Choral Competition at the Abergavenny Eisteddfod in 2009 and the 'Sacred Music' Open Choir category at the Herefordshire Festival of performing arts in 2011. They were awarded 3rd place at the 2012 National Eisteddfod of Wales, held at Llandow. Rhiannon Williams-Hale was MD for over 10 years and conducted the ladies during tours to Portugal 2006 and at Rennes-France 2008. As members of the Welsh Association of ladies choirs they sang at Truro Cathedral, the William Aston hall-Wrexham, the Park and Dare Theatre, Treorchy and more recently in the 'Massed festival of 500 ladies voices' held at St Davids Hall in November 2008 and 2010.

(2007) The Voyager Concert Choir

is based at Tucson, Arizona and is made up of choristers aged 55 plus who congregate, mostly for the winter months, on a 150 acres Recreational Vehicle (RV) park in the Sonoran Desert. The concert party was made up of choristers from as far afield as Iowa to Wyoming, California to Indiana & Alberta to Saskatchewan.

(2013 & 2014) Jodi Bird

born 1998, a young budding actress, who is also a keen harpist, pianist and flautist, and is no stranger to sharing the stage with international stars. The Penarth Teenager, appeared on Britain's Got Talent, has twice appeared with the Choir, firstly at its 2013 Annual Concert and then at a charity fund-raising event for Prostate Cymru. Jodi first came to the notice of the Bridgend choristers when she performed at the Treorchy Eisteddfod winning the intermediate Best Singer prize and being acclaimed by BMC's Musical Director, Rhiannon Williams-Hale as “the best which I have heard at her young age”. Jodie has also taken part on the West End stage in the Welsh youth production of 'Les Miserables'.
