As the Choir looks forward to the coming spring, a review of the post Christmas activity
Early 2008 has seen Bridgend Male Choir supporting several charity fund-raising events. Cowbridge Leisure Centre was the venue for Hope and Aid Direct; Heronsbridge School New Hall supported the Bridgend County Borough Council Mayor's Charities; the Woodlands Centre, Nr Worthing resulted in a good contribution for Princess Marina House, supporting the RAF Benevolent Fund and finally St David’s Hall, Cardiff, supporting & helping raise significant funds for its adopted Charity, Cancer Research Wales. In between, the Choir found time on the occasion of the record-breaking Welsh rugby result against Italy to sing at Cardiff City Hall, as guests of London Welsh RFC Supporters Club.
Bridgend Male Choir’s Media Officer, David T Burt stated “that choristers had enjoyed a busy start to the year, enjoying the camaraderie and diversity that comes with singing for fun with one of Wales’ most sought-after choirs”.
The Choir will not be singing in the locality again until 13th June, when it will share the stage at the Bethlehem Church Life Centre, Cefn Cribbwr with visiting choir, Klagenfurt Postchor from Carinthia, Austria.
