Seaside News require press deadlines...the following will appear in the March issue....
The Choir’s local Concert this month will be at 7 pm on Friday, 7th March at Brynteg Comprehensive Lower School (Heol Gam entrance). Appearing with the Choir are Vocelle Ladies Choir and the Choir of Oldcastle Primary School, Bridgend. Tickets, £5 are available from Felicity’s Jewellers in Nolton Street and at the venue, immediately prior to the Concert. There are good parking facilities. Most concerts undertaken support charities and good causes. This is no exception.
This Concert will benefit the work of St John’s House Trust, which is committed to the preservation of the historical, architectural & constructional heritage of St John’s House on Newcastle Hill for the benefit of local people. The Trust was set up in 2012. There are four Grade 2 listed buildings in close proximity being Newcastle Castle; Newcastle House; St Illtyd’s Church with St John’s House making up the quartet as a hub for history in the area.
On the 28th March, the Choir performs at Lea’s Cliff Theatre, Folkestone, supporting Kent Air Ambulance. Also appearing is pianist, Laurence Long, 2013 Young Musician of the Year. Less formally and spreading friendship through music, the Choir has accepted an invite to help Folkestone RFC celebrate its 40th birthday.
