Honorary membership
Nov 2017. At the Choir's AGM a new membership grade of Honorary Member was created to recognise the exceptional work of persons who had made significant contributions in the support the choir.
It was agreed that the first recipients of the award would be Pauline Thomas and John Keene. This is in recognition of their unfailing efforts in raising significant funds for the Choir over many years. Pauline also holds the honour of becoming Bridgend Male Choir's first ever female member.
Jan2018. In addition, It was with great pleasure that David Burt was granted 'Honorary Membership of the Choir' for his work over the years in promoting and supporting the Choir. David has held several offices in the Choir including Vice Chairman, Media Officer and Chair of the Music Sub-Committee as well as mentoring and supporting probationers.
Feb 2018. It was with great delight to announce that Honorary Membership of the choir had been granted to Bill Hodge, "a very special member", following the committee's unanimous decision at its meeting on Wednesday 7th February. I'm sure that choristers who were not able to be present will be equally delighted and unanimous in their agreement that Bill is a most worthy recipient. It was also Bill's birthday yesterday so the day proved to be a 'double whammy' for him.
